Play Gin Rummy
Make melds and reduce deadwood
Gin Rummy is a two-player card game about building melds. A meld is a set of three or four cards of the same rank, or a run of three or more consecutive cards in one suit. Cards outside your melds count as deadwood, so discard high cards and look for combinations.
How to play
- Choose vs Computer or 2 Players.
- Draw one card from the stock or take the top discard.
- Discard one card. If you took the discard, you must keep that card for the turn.
- Knock when your deadwood totals ten points or fewer, or keep playing to improve your hand.
- Score points for gin, a successful knock, or an undercut. First to 100 points wins.
Aces count as one point, face cards as ten. The game shows your deadwood total and the melds in your hand.
