Avoid hearts and the queen of spades to keep your score low.
Play HeartsAvoid penalty cards in this classic trick-taking game
Hearts is a four-player card game where the lowest score wins. Follow the suit that was led when possible, but think carefully before taking a trick: every heart adds a point, and the queen of spades is worth 13. Play against three computer opponents or pass the device for a local four-player game.
How to play
- On passing deals, choose three cards to pass in the indicated direction. Every fourth deal, keep your hand.
- Follow the lead suit when you can. The highest card in that suit takes the trick.
- Avoid taking hearts and the queen of spades. Hearts cannot be led until they are broken.
- A player who takes all 26 penalty points shoots the moon, giving 26 points to every opponent instead.
- The match ends when a player reaches 100 points. The lowest score wins.
